The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest Synaptics audio driver from your PC's support page which HP indicates is supported for W11 24H2 if you have not done so already:

Paul,

Thank You, are you referring to SP155239?

Paul,

I downloaded the driver and it created a file for it but did no install. Nothing came up after creating folder. I am attaching a picture of the contents. Which do I select to install manually? I tried HPUP but that doe no do anything either. ThanksAudio1.jpg

If you go into the src folder, then open the driver folder inside the src folder, there is an application labeled Setup64.

Run that file and see what happens.

Paul,

I tried that still no sound. I will mess with it this evening.

The only other thing I can think of for you to try is to manually install the audio driver from the Conexant audio device in the device manager.

To do that, go to the device manager.

Click to expand the sound, video and game controller drivers category.

Click on the Conexant HD audio device listed there.

Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file, which is located in C:SWSetup/sp155239.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver will update that way.

Then restart the PC.

Paul,

It says The Best Drivers For Your Device Are Already Installed.

Thanks

Sorry that didn't work either.
