Hi @Vivek_Chavan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with the display on your HP laptop. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

Restart the Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve display issues. Restart your laptop and see if the screen comes back to normal.

Check Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
  • Make sure the correct display is selected in the multiple display drop-down menu.
  • Adjust the resolution to a setting that is compatible with your laptop and monitor.

Check Function Keys:

  • Some laptops have function keys that control display settings. Look for a key with a monitor symbol (usually one of the F keys) and press it while holding down the "Fn" key.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Go to the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Expand the "Display adapters" section, right-click on your graphics card, and select "Update driver."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to update the graphics driver.

Roll Back Graphics Driver:

  • If you recently updated your graphics driver and the issue started afterward, you might want to try rolling back to the previous driver.
  • In the Device Manager, right-click on your graphics card, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click "Roll Back Driver" if available.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Restart your laptop and boot into Safe Mode. If the display works in Safe Mode, it could indicate that a third-party application or driver is causing the issue.

System Restore:

  • If the issue started after a recent update or installation, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a point before the problem occurred.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, new updates can contain fixes for display-related issues.

Connect to an External Monitor:

  • Since you mentioned using an HDMI cable to access your data, try connecting your laptop to an external monitor. If the external monitor works fine, it might be an issue with your laptop's built-in display.

If none of these steps resolves the issue, it's possible that there could be a hardware problem with the laptop's display,

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
