envy te01-1287cb

I'm considering an Envy te01-1287cb as my next desktop, but I just want to know: What Operating Systems are supported/have been tested?

It is a brand new machine, it specs

As you already know, all new machines with Intel Gen 10 processors only support Windows 10. No drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1 therefore in short: you have to use Windows 10.

Regards.

I only want to ask the question because I'm curious: If I managed to install Windows 7 onto the machine, what would be the main thing affected by the outdated OS?

You won't be able to find Windows 7 drivers for that machine, specially USB, video and sound drivers. Without those drivers, your machine would be an useless box.
