Hi

Yes, your PC has four front USB 3 type "A" ports and one front USB 3 type "C" port. All ports up front are rated at a maximum 5 Gbps transfer rate.

You will not see this transfer rate, 5 Gbps, if you connect slower USB devices to these USB ports.

In programm USB Tree Viewer shows that my front ports not supports USB 3, tried to plug USB in all ports, always shows that all ports is USB 2. Tried to update drivers, reinstall windows and no results, USB 3 ports still works as USB 2. Also Type C port shows as USB 2

Hi

Looked at this program. It's telling me the same thing.

I know my front USB 3 ports work as expected because I use the front USB 3 ports when I create system images totaling 50 GBs to 70 GBs. It takes about three to five minutes to create a system image on an external SATA 3 SSD.

I would not place much faith in this software.

In AIDA64 also says that USB 3.0 port is 2.0. When i plug in type c cable in type c port, windows says that You can get more speed, if you plug your cable in USB 3.0 port

Hi

You would have to contact HP Support if USB 3 ports on your PC are not working correctly. You reinstalled or reset the operating system and I think you stated you have no Device Manager errors. Do you see a USB 3 hub in Device Manager?

You will not see USB 3 speeds if you plug in a USB 2 device into a USB 3 port. And not all USB 3 devices are created equal. I have some slow USB 3 type C and type A devices.

Either you are connecting slow devices to the USB ports or you have a motherboard problem because the front USB is integrated in the motherboard.

Yes. I see Intel USB 3.1 in Device Manager, but still all programes recognizing type c and type a 3.0 ports as 2.0
