I tried to update pavillion 23 and it froze and could not get out of it so crashed it by turning off. Tried rebooting. It lets me put log in password and then does back to reloading update , it says please wait. days later im still waiting. it has a cancel button but doesnt work . so when i try and log in now it just does same thing, have tried going to control panel etc but this all stays hidden under this green screen as soon as i try to click on to anything to get out of this frozen status

Thanks for the reply.

Since the F11 key is not responding, I recommend you to do a hard reset and keep tapping the ESC key on startup.

This should bring up a Startup Menu on your computer screen.

Once you are on the startup menu, you can press F11 to proceed to the earlier suggested options.

If the ESC key does not respond, recommend you to use the recovery kit to reset your computer. You might have created one for your computer.

If you have not created a recovery kit, you can order a copy online from our website or contact our phone support to order a copy.(You will only be able to order a copy of the OS that came with the computer.)

Keep me posted.

Greetings @mammappp,

I came across your post where you are unable to complete the Windows update on your computer. I will be happy to help, however, request you to provide the product number of your computer and the operating system installed on your computer.

Recommend you to boot the computer to recovery manager by tapping F11 on startup.

Once you get the computer to the recovery manager mode, you can select the troubleshoot option.

Try to do a system restore (rolling back the computer to an older date) and it should fix the concern.

Please refer to this article.

Let me know if this helped, for further assistance please provide the requested information.
