Power Port

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My All-In-One Desktop suddenly powered off and I could not power it back up.  It has been plugged in since the day we bought it.  We have never unplugged it or moved it from it's location.  My question is:  How in the world would the power port come loose?  I took it to a certified HP service center today thinking there was something wrong with the power cord and they said that the power port is sitting too far back for power cord to make a connection and that it needs to be re- soldered but they did not feel comfortable doing it because of fear of damaging something else.  If a certified HP service center can't do it what am I supposed to do?  I have serious concerns about the design - especially when we have never unplugged it or plugged it in repeatedly to cause it to come loose to begin with!  We have had ports in cell phones come loose, but my goodness - you plug and unplug these in a daily basis!  This should have held up better than it did!  Interestingly, the only phone number you can call for HP is SALES!  I want someone from HP to call me.  If they don't take service any more serioysly than this maybe doing business with another company is in order.  I have bought many HP products through the years but I don't feel they have my back.
