I installed Quickbook 2016 & Microsoft office 2010. Quickbooks has the feature to export the report to Excel format but it is not working (it is working in my old computer with the same Window 10). I called Quickbooks techsupport and found out it is the Window Registry Problem in my new HP computer.
I also tried to install the same two programs in the other Window 10 Home computer. The report can export to Excel program from Quickbooks program normally.
It should be the HP computer Pre-installed Window 10 Operation System problem. The computer's warranty expired date is at March 2018. I call the HP Tech Support that they cannot fix the pre-install Window System becasue it is not covered by the warranty. It means HP cannot quarantee the pre-installed operation system is woking or not working in the new computer. It is so wired to me
Would you tell me how to fix the Window Registry Issue?
I total bought 7 same product new computers for my office.

Yes it does. And to make double sure, make the Recovery Disk/flashdrive set from within the Recovery Manager.

It seems there are many with that problem. Here is one supposed fix:

or
http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/articles/SLN96445
Google for that error and try to find others that fixed the problem if those do not do the trick.

Please give more details.
Does it fail to create the output file?
Does it create it as '.xls' (Microsoft Excel 2003 and older) or '.xlsx' (Microsoft Excel 2007 and newer)?
What is the exact wording of the error-message that is produced?
What error-message does Excel give when accessing the file?

Call Quickbooks Tech Support again, and ask them how to fix that Windows Registry problem, since that is what they identified the problem to be.

So, are you saying that just one computer, with one copy of QuickBooks, and one copy of Excel, uniquely has the problem?
What happens if you un-install QuickBooks, uninstall MS Office, reboot, reinstall MS Office, re-install QuickBooks, and try again to "export" ?
> It should be the HP computer Pre-installed Window 10 Operating System problem.
Yes, it could, but I would assign it a "low" probability of that being the problem.

Correct. HP's warranty covers the hardware, not the Microsoft software (Windows) nor the QuickBooks software.
Again, more details, please.

1. the output file only for csv format, not Excel format. The Excel Option is grayed out
2. Quickbooks only takes care the Quickbooks program. The Windows issue - I need to look for IT to take care it.
3. The all 7 new computers (same model) have the same problem
4. I already followed the method provided by Quickbooks to try to fix the problem. no working.
5. My friend helps me to install the same programs at his Window 10 Home Version computer. the report output is given the choices - Excel Worksheet or csv file format - as the normal option.
6. Why my friend's window 10 home computer is working but the HP new computer (same Window operation system) is not working? it is why I said the pre-installed Window has the problem.

Well that is interesting. Since you have seven or so of these to play with - why not try a clean Windows 10 install from the M$ Windows 10 Meida Creation Tool and then install the QuickBooks. See if the clean install then works as your friend's PC does.

Having Windows 10 through the upgrade, I have no way to prove this, but it supposedly works.
