Hi there @momzywomzie,

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I understand that you got an error message about repairing your computer and now it will not start past a blank screen.I am happy to give you a hand with this.

I would recommend that you start with this document: HP Desktop PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10,8). Read through it carefully while following the symptoms.

Please let me know whether that works for you or if there is a change, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

thanks for getting back with me. I let a friend look at the computer for me and he told me that he could not get the computer to start either so he took the hard drive out and manually wiped everything off of it and then reinstalled windows 7, it's working again...till next time, lol
