Hello people, I have questions regarding HP's Cloud Recovery system.

For some background information, I wanted to factory reset my laptop, but it won't allow me as I believe there are corrupted or missing files that prevent me from doing so (I think it's winload.efi that's broken). I try looking for forums and guides online, but I can't seem to find a solution. Ultimately, I heard about HP's Cloud Repair system, which I heard helps to factory reset laptops and similar devices. However, I do have some concerns before I try to attempt the process.

1) Is it fine for me to download the recovery package into the USB drive from the same computer I wanted to factory reset, or do I need another computer to download the package and THEN plug it onto the computer I want to factory reset.

2) What are the steps and process of the Cloud Recovery system? I looked at the video and other forums, and I'm still sort of confused.

Help and answers are deeply appreciated.
