For the past couple of weeks I've been having a problem with my "Ask Me Anything" launching. The box now shows "Type here to search", and it doesn't launch at all.
I spoke to a Microsoft representative a few days ago, and he suggested that I reset my pc, and he gave me the instructions on how to do this on my pc.
Well, I followed his instructions to the letter, and when the "reset should have occurred, it didn't. I received a message stating that the "Reset failed due to a problem".
I then repeated the task again, and again I got the same results. So, what is causing my pc to "NOT" reset? The representative assured me that this reset should correct my "Ask Me Anything" issue.
I've also performed the "sfc /scannow", and the "DISM" function, and nothing worked.

Hi:
While I wouldn't be able to help you with that specific issue, or why the PC won't reset, if you have no problem reinstalling W10 from scratch (clean install), and reinstalling any programs and files you need, that is an option.
Back up any files you don't want to lose before proceeding to reinstall W10.
You can make your own W10 installation media by using the Media Creation Tool from the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
During the installation process when you are asked to enter a product key, you select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install, and automatically reactivate once you are connected to the internet.
I have had to do this when I was unable to fix a problem and the system reset didn't fix it either.
To me it took less time to reinstall W10 and all of my programs and files, than it did to try and figure out how to fix the problems I was having.
Once I reinstalled W10, everything was working nicely again, and still is.
