Hello! im having this exact same problem. Im attemptiing to swap out my HD with a SSD that has been cloned using Macrium Reflet. Its an exact replica of the HD that comes standard with this computer.
This is an EliteDesk 800 G2 TWR.
After cloning the disk using a usb drive bay. I check in the partition manager and i also do not have :"boot flags" anywhere in my partiions. and cannot find a way to add these in windows 10.
With Legacy support enabled secure boot disabled in bios, the drive shows in the bootable list options and i have it set to the top of the list in priority but i get the same error. "No OS detected".
Ive tried using every fix listed above with zero success. How do i get a cloned drive to work on this machine!?? I have 5 of these computers in my office im trying to upgrade for my co-workers but currently spinning our wheels trying to find a fix for this. Ive never had a problem cloning drives before this computer.
Please help!

Run the 'diskpart.exe' command, with "administrative" privilege:
$ diskpart
Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7601
Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation.
DISKPART> help
ACTIVE - Mark the selected partition as active.
ATTRIBUTES - Manipulate volume or disk attributes.
DETAIL - Provide details about an object.
EXIT - Exit DiskPart.
FILESYSTEMS - Display current and supported file systems on the volume.
GPT - Assign attributes to the selected GPT partition.
HELP - Display a list of commands.
INACTIVE - Mark the selected partition as inactive.

This was not successful, this can only be done for MBR partitions. And the HP default on this harddrive is GPT.
I have now tried about 4 different pieces of software to clone this HD to ssd and i constantly get the BootDevice - Not Found. Which leads me to believe that its not a cloning software issue. And Ive now tried this on several different HP desktops , including an hp elite 8300 with the exact same error. Please!! can someone tell me what bios issue is causing this problem? Seems like this is a common problem on Hps?

Please name them, so that we can recommend something else.

Have you booted from Windows installation media, and chosen the "Repair" (instead of "Install") option, to see if Windows can fix the problem?

Unfortunately i dont think HP provides any installation media, atleast as far as i can tell with every computer weve ordered from them in the last few years.. I burned a windows PRE dvd with macrium reflect, and ran the "fix boot issues" to try to get it to boot and unfortunatley that did not work either. I will try to make a windows 10 installation cd and report back if it does anything.

I used macrium refelct origionaly, using the "clone this disk" feature.
Followed by EaseUS Todo backup free, for this version i used both "clone disk" and "system clone".
I guess just these two versions now that i think about it, because i tried a version of samsung data migration i had from a previous ssd migration, but it didnt work because it only recognizes samsung drives somehow, and acronis wont do it for free.

I again did a complete fresh clone with macrium reflect.
Put in a legit Windows 10 pro installation cd
Powered down.
Disconected the harddrive and connected the ssd where he hd was on sata 0.
Powered on.
Booted from cd, went to repair tab. The harddrive and windows 10 pro OS were both visable on the SSD. But none of the options were of any use in repairing this startup.
Powered down.
Booted from my macrium windows PRE dvd. Ran the "fix boot errors"
It replied "efi partition found" and then it did its BCD removal and replacement, or whatever it does.
Restarted the computer, "boot device not found, please install an operating system on your harddrive"
I have tried these iterations with combinations of legacy and uefi support enable and dissabled in bios.. WHAT AM I MISSING? good lord.... why is this so dificult?

Also Tried powering off the computer and reseting cmos, booting up with the ssd and still no such luck.
I dont know what it is about this HD but this computer will only see the WD blue that hp packed with this thing. Im tyring to avoid doing a windows 10 reinstallation because our computers are all networked up through a domain system to begin with and setting that up can take hours. Not to mention resinstalling all of the engineering software we run....

1. Correct. Instead, they load software onto the 'C:' drive-letter that lets you create your own (onto USB or a few DVDs).
2. Sigh.
3. OK.
4. Sorry, but I've never used this software.
5. Ditto.
6. There are "crippled" versions of ACRONIS that are available, for FREE.
The one from SAMSUNG requires that a SAMSUNG disk-drive be attached.
The one from SEAGATE/MAXTOR requires that a SEAGATE/MAXTOR disk-drive be attached.
Ditto for the WD version.
In each case, the "qualifying" disk-drive must be attached, but it does NOT need to be either the "source" nor the "target" of the disk-cloning.

Within BIOS SETUP, is the SSD listed as a bootable device?
At "power-on" time, can you tell the BIOS to select a "one-time" boot from the SSD? (CD, DVD) ?
Is the SSD listed on that "one-time" menu?
