Hi Paul, you recently helped me to acquire the iso file i needed. I figure you would know about the windows 10 free upgrade that had apparently been reserved for me since the offer was sent some time ago. I think there used to be a link that i had to download my free windows 10 upgrade? Anyhow I hope you understand as in know of that which i am trying to explain. cheers

You probably should have opened your own question, rather than appending to this one.
But, since you asked, see: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The download of the ISO is "free" (unless you pay per byte for your Internet),
but that web-page indicates that you'll need a Windows 10 product-key.
Note that the official "free update" from Windows 7 (or 😎 to Windows 10 ended in July 2016.
However, some contributors on this forum claim that their product-key for Windows 7 (or 😎 works to activate Windows 10.
Finally, note that Microsoft will terminate all support for Windows 7 in mid-January 2020 -- just 19 months away.
At that time, you will need to either buy a new computer, or try to migrate/upgrade to Windows 10.
That "migration" will be a lot of work -- if you have Windows 10, install it now, and avoid that work.
