I really hate to tell you this BUT companies SELL your information including, but not limited to, name, age, date of birth, phone number, address, email address, items you have or had warranties for, your computer information including but not limited to ip address, serial number, make, model, age, ios etc. They will tell you they dont sell your I fo but if you read the fine print you will see that just by PURCHASING the item and registering it for the limited warranty you're screwed. It is something I have learned over the years. Once you register your computer, kiss your privacy goodbye. As for the the calls from "hp" or "windows" stating you have a refund or virus that's not true. If you have a virus your virus scanner will alert you and if you have a refund they can just drop you a check in the mail. If you didnt buy a security service from them then obviously you have zero money coming back. I have made a post about these calls asking for a thread to be made where we can post the phone numbers that call us but instead they put my complaint/concern as "closed". You will get zero help in these forums and I expect my posts to all be removed because they dont want the truth out there.

@Jesse148

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.

You posted a "new question", apparently as a follow-up to a question last updated in September 2016:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Miscellaneous-Topics-Read-Only/Weekly-Calls-From-18004746836-Supposed-...

This older question has been "archived", making it "read-only".

Thanks for your comment.
