Hi @yash213,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Based on what you've described, the issue appears to have started after the CMOS reset, and now the system will only boot with Secure Boot disabled. Since you're also receiving errors when attempting to reinstall Windows from the HP recovery USB, I'd recommend checking the hardware first before making any further changes to the BIOS or recovery media.

Please run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Turn the PC completely off.
  2. Power it on and repeatedly tap Esc until the Startup Menu appears.
  3. Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  4. Run the following tests:
    • Storage Test
    • Memory Test
    • Extensive Test (if available)

Once the tests are complete, please let us know:

  • Do all tests pass?
  • Is there a Failure ID or error code reported?
  • Is the storage drive detected properly in the diagnostics?

If the hardware tests pass, we'll then focus on the Secure Boot and recovery environment, as the CMOS reset may have changed a BIOS setting that is preventing Windows or the recovery media from booting correctly.

Please share the hardware test results, and we'll be happy to help with the next steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
