Trying to recover computer, files, pics using BACKUP DVD's (9) created this week. Recovery manager does not list a choice to recover from DVD's. Checked BIOS and changed order of BOOT source but still no dice. Is there an easy way I'm missing to use these backup discs? Working on TouchSmart 520-1050 Desktop / Windows 7

I believe the way this works is the backups are read in by windows and a restore is done to another disk drive.

You would use another computer, even a laptop, attached your new (or old) disk drive to a USB adapter and have the laptop restore to the USB.  Just be careful not to restore to the "C" drive as that erases the laptop.

You might ask over at answers dot Microsoft dot com since they are the supervisors of their backup show.
