Please help!! I was having an issue where my computer was running slow so I decided to wipe everything and use the windows 10 recovery to reinstall. Well the installation got stuck at 64% and it's been like this for four days. What happens is I get a screen with a Wndows logo and a circle spinning underneath, then it says preparing, then it goes to a screen that says - Installation 64%, your PC will restart several times, and installing features and drivers - Here are most of the stuff I've tried...
- I tried entering bios with keyboard shortcuts, I can't find a definitive answer to which f# key it is, but I've tried all of them and the bios just won't come up.
- I did all the power downs and back up trying to get the Auto Repair screen.
- I left the computer unplugged overnight
- I pulled out the CMOS Battery and I also switched the pins for the reset Jumpers to reset the CMOS settings.
- Unplugged the hard drive.
- I originnally was working with a bluetooth keyboard, but I just went and purchased a wired one today.
- I made a copy of Windows 10 with the Windows Media Creation tool on a USB stick, but since I cannot access the Bios it will not load.
I don't know what else to do this has been going on for 4 days now, please help!!

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you need help reinstalling windows completely,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you know HP Doesn't recommend installing the OS using a retail copy of windows? as you can always utilize the HP Recovery media to install the OEM back anytime.
While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:
Please restart your computer and attempt recovery from the HP recovery manager instead:
Resetting your computer to factory settings might be necessary if the operating system is damaged, the hard drive is corrupted, the computer is infected by a virus, or you are transferring ownership of the computer. HP System Recovery removes all hard drive data and re-installs the original operating system.
To open Recovery Manager (on most PCs) and initiate a recovery before Windows starts, turn on the computer and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly.

I appreciate the reply, unfortunately, I can't access the bios or the HP recovery. I went and purchased a new hard drive today and installed that and I still cannot access the bios or HP recovery. In fact everything powers on and it sounds like it's trying to load the hard drive and then the noises stop and I still have a black screen.
I read another post stating to "reseat" the memory that could help...?

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
Yes, that should help, go ahead and attempt reseating the memory and also try the steps mentioned below:
While you respond to that, The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:
