ended up having to use a thumb drive and I successfully downloaded windows 10.  Do I now load it to my desk top using the usb drive and then go to the link you provided using the desk top for the software and drivers updates or do I download the software and drivers updates to the thumb drive.  Also is there anything I need to do to upload win 10 or will the pc automatically see the thumb drive and use it to download the win 10

Here's what you need to do...

Plug the W10 flash drive installer into your PC's USB port.

Turn on the PC, and immediately start tapping the ESC key to get a menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB diskette on key/USB hard drive, and press the Enter key.

The PC should boot from the W10 installer, and the W10 installation process should begin.

Once that is finished, you can install the drivers from the support page.

I'm pretty sure that W10 will have installed the ethernet and wifi drivers for your model.
