I’m trying to reset my all and one desktop to factory defaults to give to my kids. I can’t remember my password or username. I have tried resetting my PC but it keeps saying, can someone please help me?

The easiest way to accomplish the goal is to try the HP Cloud Recovery tool.

Change the boot order in the BIOS and then boot to the new media.

Depending on the model number of the PC, some are supported by the HP Cloud Recovery tool

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

OR you can make the install media and reinstall Windows.  Pick the version

If you need the install media for Windows 10 or Windows 11, you can make it from this Microsoft download

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f...

Pick the Windows version you need and follow the directions to make the media using a working PC.
You can make either the DVD or USB. Use this new media to install Windows 10 or 11, whichever you choose.
When the install asks for the product key, click the "I don't have a product key" option to continue,
then the install will continue. It will be activated once it connects to the internet, as it uses a digital key.
