Product: Hp All in one pc
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

 Hi guys i just wanted to ask if its normal that its taking for almost 3 hours to wipe everything on my hp all in one pc, because im giving it away to my cousin and i want a fulll wipe out so i choose to erase everything and its taking so long and im stuck in 13% for like 3 hours now is this normal? will it take 24 hrs to resetting this pc ?

You should NOT have done that. Why? Because resetting does not WIPE the drive; instead, all it does is reformat it, and anyone with a routine drive formatting tool can recover most, if not all, of the erased files.

 

Also, a reset should take 2-3 hours at  most, so one taking this one implies that the drive is failing, and in that case, it might never finish.
