Hi  @ArmyRanger,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I  understand your concern about your desktop slows down and webpages stop loading properly.

Before we proceed, could you please share the exact HP desktop model you’re using?

Kindly confirm the below details :

  • Is the slowdown affecting all applications, or mainly your web browser?
  • Do you see any error messages when pages fail to load?
  • Have you noticed any recent Windows updates or antivirus alerts?

Here are the steps to check if restore points are available on your Windows desktop:

A.How to Check for Restore Points

  1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type rstrui and press Enter.
  3. The System Restore window will open. Click Next.
  4. You’ll see a list of available restore points with dates and descriptions.
  5. Look for one around June 1.

If available, select it and follow the prompts to restore.

If no restore points are listed, it means System Restore wasn’t enabled previously.

B.Additionally you can follow the below steps to check on the browser :

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Run HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates.
  • Perform a quick antivirus scan.
  • Test your internet connection on another device to confirm if it’s desktop-specific.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
