Z4 workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Z4 came with the SD card reader uninstalled.

After installing and plugging it into the mb, I don't see it in Device Manager,

and it is not discovered as a new device.

What am I missing here, and where can I find a suitable device driver?

TIA.

Hi.

It may happened for some reasons:

  1. It is connected wrong. Check cables and correct connector on MB. Try another connector.
  2. It is faulty/damaged and don't work. Check on another computer. If same problem occurred, just replace it.
  3. USB devices disabled in BIOS settings for security reasons. Check that.
  4. I've seen Card-readers before, which don't detected in OS before you plug in SD-card (or other supported).

I can't imagine other reasons, why it don't detected on your OS.

Best regards,

IT-Velho
