I have went into my bios to enable secure mode since valorant requires that and TPM 2.0 to be enabled, but every time I restart my PC and check system information it shows that it is OFF. Valorant was working perfectly fine last week, but ever since they did an update, my Secure Boot Mode has continued to stay OFF no matter what. Please if anyone has any solutions please let me know. I have watched countless youtube videos and then some forums to try fixing the issue, but nothing has worked. There is no advanced option in my bios to go deeper into detail on what to change. UEFI is on, TPM is on, and my drives are GPT.

Hi @Mikael315
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s a maddening loop—especially when everything looks right in BIOS but Windows keeps saying Secure Boot is off. You’re not alone in this; others with similar setups have run into the same issue after game or OS updates.
Let’s walk through a few deeper checks and fixes that might finally get Secure Boot recognized properly.
🛠️ Steps to Fix Secure Boot Showing OFF in System Info
1. Double-Check BIOS Settings
Even if Secure Boot is enabled, it may not be fully initialized:
- Restart and press F10 to enter BIOS.
- Go to Advanced > Secure Boot Configuration.
- Set Secure Boot to Enabled.
- Make sure Legacy Support is Disabled.
- Confirm Boot Mode is set to UEFI, not Legacy or Hybrid.
2. Clear Secure Boot Keys and Re-Enable
Sometimes Secure Boot needs a fresh key initialization:
- In BIOS, go to Secure Boot Configuration.
- Choose Clear Secure Boot Keys.
- Then select Install Default Keys.
- Save and exit BIOS.
3. Check Drive Format
You mentioned your drives are GPT—perfect. Just to confirm:
- Open Disk Management.
- Right-click your system drive → Properties > Volumes.
- Ensure Partition Style is GUID Partition Table (GPT).
4. Run HP BIOS Update
There may be a firmware fix for this exact issue:
- Visit the HP Pavilion TG01-2000a BIOS update page.
- Download and install the latest BIOS version for your system.
- Restart and recheck Secure Boot status.
5. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
- Download HP Diagnostics for Windows.
- Run a full system test, especially on BIOS and security modules.
If Secure Boot still shows OFF in msinfo32, even after all this, it may be worth resetting BIOS to defaults and reconfiguring from scratch.
Let me know how far you get—I’ll stick with you until Valorant stops throwing shade at your setup. 💪🎮
