All in one pavilion touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I restarted my computer to factory and while it was doing the process the computer got unplugged... Now when I start up the computer i get an error message that's states it was unexpectedly shut down and needs to be restarted. After this it restarts and displays the message again.

I have tried everything I know. F11 F10.

I can't use the tools in F11. If I click on command prompt. Restart from factory. Or anything. It says "I need to sign in to an account first, but there are no accounts made" in which it is impossible to make an account because the computer was reset and interrupted.

I don't care about the files I will lose. Any trick to make this thing work will be appreciated. Must be something? Special button press? This computer is relatively new.

And I have never heard or seen this problem anywhere on the internet so something very specific has to be done I'd imagine.

Missing success. Thank you Cheryl.

I had to download windows 10 on to a usb drive from another one of my windows hp computers directly from a Microsoft website. Then I pushed the esc key when turning on the computer, then f9. Then after this another menu came up in which I selected my USB. After this it came up with a menu of language selection and so forth. However when it came to recommended installation or custom I had to select custom as recommended would not work as it said it was for a computer that did not previously have windows 10. After this a long wait was required but now everything is working. Using the internet on it as we speak.

I appreciate all of your help, and thank you Cheryl for making this possible.

I think that "restart from factory" should work.

When you first turn on your computer, do you see a message like "press <blah> to reset to factory", or some similar wording?

Nothing works. This is what it says. "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."

So after I click ok. It restarts then displays the message all over again. An impossible loop. Am I suppose to do something after I press ok? I tried f11 and tried to do another factory reset but it denies me saying I need to sign in as an admin but there are no accounts made.

Update: I managed to get into the command prompt via f11 hp recovery tool. This seems to be a fluke as I tried this tool before and it denied me. I cannot get access to the command prompt tool itself through f11. It Denis me everytime. This time however it just seemed to pop up by itself.

I now need a command prompt to reset the computer to factory default or restart the windows 10 installation process.

Thanks

That is "restart the installation", not "restart the computer".  There is a difference.

Turn the computer off, by holding-down the ON/OFF button for 30 seconds.

Turn the computer on, and immediately look for a message like "press <blah> to start system recovery" (or a phrase like that), or a message like "press <blah> for start-up options".

Press the <blah> key.

Tell us what options are presented to you.

You want to force the computer to "boot" from the hidden "system recovery" partition on the disk-drive, and to start the reinstallation of Windows.

You do *NOT* want to open a command-line prompt.

Do you have a smart-phone that can record a short video?

Start recording after you have turned the computer off, as above.

Stop recording when you see the menu of "options", after pressing that <blah> key.

Post the video here.

Wouldn't let me do a video.

I start up the computer then get this. If I click ok the proces starts all over again.

Thanks for helping me.

Immediately after powering on start tapping the F11 key-about once a second. You should arrive at a "Choose an Option" screen. On the Choose an Option screen, click Troubleshoot. On the Troubleshoot screen, click Recovery Manager.Under column Help, click System Recovery. When Recovery Manager prompts you to back up your files, select  Recover without backing up your files, and then click Next. Continue to the next step.

Did not work.

I don't have system recovery as an option.

Ever since I did dcdboot c:/windows on cmd I lost the system recovery option. Did not work before anyways. As it would say I need to sign in as an admin but there are no accounts available.

Could be wrong but the only thing I can see possible from my experience of computers and numerous computer problems (granted I'm sure all of you know more than I do) is that something needs to be done on the command prompt to make this work. As the command, Dcdboot got me closer and the ability to open the command prompt from the menu options as I was unable to before.

I would also like to know if a windows 10 cd or some other type of cd would work? I would like that to be a last option because I highly doubt the developers would just leave this black hole with no way out when the power could go out during an update or reset which would cause this to happen. Turns out after more research I managed to find one person on computer forums who had this problem, however it was never solved.
