HP All-in-One - 24-dd0010

The system BIOS update failed unable to open BIOS image file. I tried powering off computer, disconnecting power for30 sec, connecting power, following hp procedure with pressing windows + B. Did not work. Tried downloading the hp cloud recovery tool onto a clean 32gb flash drive. Plugged into computer, but computer does not act like it notices the usb is even plugged in. Tried clicking the escape key many times, nothing. Tried clicking f11 many times, nothing. Tried control, alt, delete, still nothing.

Hi:

Your PC has the MonkD motherboard.

HP All-in-One - 24-dd0010 Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

Please see this discussion...You need to make a BIOS recovery drive with the F.41 BIOS update file and not the latest two that HP has.

Your PC's motherboard is the same one as in this discussion.

"Thanks Paul, but this file seems to have errors...sp145453 and sp143666, Unable to make USB recovery flash drive, that's why when these updates are coming and people getting them installed are getting stuck in a BIOS update fail loop. Hence, on the basis of my exploitation SP141980 was fine, with this i was able to create BIOS recovery flash drive and finally restored BIOS and break the loop of BIOS update fail."

Link to the F.41 BIOS update.

The is link explains how to create a BIOS recovery flash drive.

I've already provided the BIOS file you need, which is good for either W10 or W11.

Hi, I am also getting this same Error "HP BIOS Update issue, unable to open BIOS image file" in 3 HP computers

I wanted to try out your fix  but the problem is that system is not allowing me to login to BIOS setup. the bios page shows initializing and it keeps on restarting. Any solution? Thanks in advance.

I tried to create a BIOS recovery flash drive, and it has done, but I couldn't get into the original system bios settings. I tried pressing the ESC key several times and pressing F10, and F8 but there isn't any way I found to go to the BIOS settings. Every time it was showing the same loop.

Also, I tried pressing WIN + B and 8 beeps can be heard easily. But after updating it again, it moves to the same loop that was shown previously.

Hi, @Satrughna  & @RSA_2023

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see the info at the link below and perhaps that will help.

Here's an alternative way to recover the BIOS with the USB recovery drive if the above method doesn't work.

Last section.  There is a video at the very bottom of the page that describes how to do this on a notebook PC, and since it is included under the desktop link, perhaps it works the same way.

Hi:

If your HP AIO has the MonkD motherboard, then see if the revised info I provided in this discussion also works for you.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Paul I'm hoping you can help me as well. I am having all the same issues and have opened the link on my laptop to try to create a usb drive to try to fix but I had also ordered a usb fix drive off amazon and can't even get my computer to recognize the usb. It is stuck in the bios failed screen. I'm hoping to be able to make a usb with your file on it and try again.
