HP Recommended

My hp tower will not wake up from sleep mode. My monitor is blank. I can push a button on the monitor and it says: "computer is in sleep mode, move the mouse or hit any key on the keyboard to wake up" I do and nothing happens. I powered off the computer several times and still the same message on my monitor.... Please help
