Compaq Presario SR5219UK Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows Vista

Hello, I recently purchased another Compaq Presario PC as my previous one gave way for £30 untested. The PC actually turns on though but the OS was corrupted. I tried to boot but it came up with a BSOD, luckily this PC still had it's recovery image intact and I booted to it, went through the process and got to the Windows OOBE (Out of Box Experience) but I got the Code Purple error which at first I didn't know anything about it but now I do. Before I knew this I powered off the PC and booted to my Windows 10 USB to access the Command Prompt and tried to run some tests, it didn't really help much so I instead ran Task Manager and found out that the computer has 1GB of RAM which is very low, so I took out the old 1GB modules and stuck in 4GB instead, still did the same thing and finally resorted to using my Windows Vista Installation CD, which actually worked. I did this as a test to see if no errors would occur. After the installation I tried to reboot my PC into the Recovery Image but it does nothing except take me into the place where I can edit boot stuff, I did not erase the partition and am confused on why the image won't work anymore. Could you please help me?

Hello
sometimes it happens because of a hardware replacement
But sometimes for no apparent reason
There is a more or less complicated solution
I don't have the exact operation in mind, and I'm not going to simply copy paste
