HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r014 and I am attempting to install a fresh installation of Windows 10. I downloaded the Windows 10 64 bit ISO from Microsoft and installed it on a 16GB USB using Rufus.

I go to the BIOS and set it to boot to USB Hard Drive. After completing the installation process, the PC will never boot into windows successfully. It will repeatedly give the Error: "The computer restarted unexpectedly...cannot proceed with installation.."

When I press OK, it restarts and loops.

I've made multiple USB to boot from and used different USB's. I've also done every step in this article to no avail: https://windowsreport.com/computer-restarted-unexpectedly/

I'm out of answers and don't know how to proceed. I've never had this problem installing windows on a PC.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

@jdimmer I suggest you make use of the HP Recovery Media instead of the downloaded retail copy of windows as its much faster and safer, considering it would create the partition and install all necessary software and driver to get you started, here's the article that contains all the steps you need to perform an OS reinstallation on the same: Click here

If you don't possess a recovery media to complete this task, here's what you need to get: Click here for details.

P.S: Welcome to HP Forums! 😉

Let me know how that pans out,
