Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been successfully running the Windows 11 Insider Preview for a few months now, no real issues or performance hits. But then why should I, I'm running an industry standard HP Pavilion with an industry standard Intel i7 processor. So, what on earth is all this nonsense that series 6 Intel processors are not compatible with Windows 11? My wife's PC (my old one) has an ancient 10yr old dual core processor and is compatible, but my carefully researched, expensive, 5yr old HP PC is now resigned to the bin?! Yes I know that you can download the ISO and get round the compatibility checks, but that's a clean install and not everyone is going to want or be able to do that? So this begs the following questions:
Q1. HP - are you actively talking to Intel to resolve this situation, if so what is the situation and what can we expect?
Q2. Microsoft - are you working on a release of Windows 11 that is compatible with 6th Intel processors, or is that it?
Q3. HP - if I install Windows 11 with a non-compatible processor, will that invalidate my support for all my products?

Q4. Microsoft - Will you stop my security updates (see pic below) for running an incompatible PC?
I would be very grateful for any feedback or 'intel' (excuse the pun) on what is going on with this issue, thank you

Hello
microsoft has chosen a typical configuration, it is with them that we must see that

It seems that now the choice is final
, the motherboard is not compatible, you cannot replace the processor with a processor validated by microsoft

Microsft, indicated that if the user forces the installation, there may be limitations (no update or other)

Hp, will not respond here!
microsoft, even less

Hello
[This is an automatic response
so i don't have to repeat everything
Some indications can be changed, and some may not be useful to you, I can not always adapt the answer!]

the official version of windows 11 at the time of writing this answer has not yet been released, unless I'm mistaken!
Don't rush, any new version has these problems, wait at least a little bit before you start
Check everywhere if there are problems after installation or not!
For tpm 2.0, there are many sites that are starting to talk about it.
You can start by checking the general compatibility with the microsoft tool

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11
https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp
another tool given by the expert @WAWood gives more information (thanks to him for this find
https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases

for TPM 2.0 to be activated with bios uefi, if it is possible
"In the search box or with the Windows + R key combination, we type tpm.msc."

look at the bottom, where the TPM version is shown. If we see version 2.0, our computer should be compatible with Windows 11 in this section.

possibly check for product updates

hi
I read that it would be more or less possible to add a module, but nothing concrete, nothing found for the moment
The security module, being generally integrated into the processor, there is no way to change this for many computers, incompatible processors!

https://www.pcmag.com/news/what-is-a-tpm-and-why-do-i-need-one-for-windows-11
The requirements for windows 11 may change, in the meantime avoid spending unnecessary money.

[edit]update
I don't know if we can find it in English
There is something new, still a little confused, but it seems, that the requirements are still changed
There would still be certain conditions, not too uninteresting in the end if it stays like that!
The link is translated here, I don't know if it will be clear, but in the main line it should be understandable!

translate.googlews Windows 11: your PC will be able to install it, but there is ..

https://docs.microsoft.com/fr-fr/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-amd-....
As we can see in the previous link, it may be possible to install windows 11 even if the processor is not supported

update

there is the return of the microsoft check app
once downloaded and launched the scan, the result is given, for compatibility
that gives (french sorry)

compatibilité w11.png

if you click on specifications, a microsoft page appears

Prepare yourselves

Windows 11 isn't here yet, but will be available later this year. If you are looking forward to it, you can already do some preparations.

This PC will run Windows 11

Your PC meets the minimum hardware requirements and is eligible for a free upgrade when deploying the new Windows.

Hi, thank your responding, however, it is no surprise that you gave the 'standard' response which provides neither a solution or comfort to the many HP users who have genuine concerns about running an unsupported operating system on their now obsolete hardware. There is something inherently wrong with the way this has been approached and needs broader debate, not dismissal. Lack of compatibility at this top tier level of technology providers alludes to either lazy or cost-cutting development. The consumer will think its both, undermining their confidence to buy a replacement because the same thing will happen again. That HP is accepting this for what it is, is not acceptable. My old iPhone 6s, which I bought a year before my HP i7 Pavilion, is still supported by the latest IOS15 release. Maybe we should all just move wholesale to Apple, because that is the risk the Windows PC providers are running, which would be a **bleep** shame because a lot of jobs would be lost as a result.

Sorry, you have a user's response here.
You have some information that comes from hp in link, that's all you can get here
As I said, HP, will not answer you here, nor microsoft
The main author, as often, here is microsoft, they have decided that for reasons, security or otherwise, the user will need a certain configuration.
We can say what we want about hp, but this will be the same for all other manufacturers, if the computer is too old, which can not be upgraded, in the sense desired by Microsoft, we do not can't help it
the user is not obliged to install windows 11 either, it will be one of Microsoft's defenses I suppose
With microsoft it becomes a habit, why is it impossible or complicated to run old games, programs after new versions
You have to make a choice, either continue, and make do with it, or forget Microsoft, switch to other systems, it is very sad, but it is like that
Ask microsoft directly, I'm curious to know their answers ...
