I have 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front of my desktop and the plug only goes in halfway. How do I make it go in all the way? I have pushed the plug in hard and it just won't go in. This is happening on both of them. I've got a flash drive and a bluetooth dongle plus a usb hub and none of them will plug in. The ports and the peripherals are blue coded.

@Redf150 Welcome to HP Community!
- Please let me know which device you are trying to install on the computer.
- Have you tried with different devices and checked?
- Have you tried with both ports?
Please share the picture of the Half connected device. It will be helpful.
When you connect the device halfway is it detected on the computer or not?
Please click the link to troubleshoot the USB connectivity issue.

Thank you @Praveen196 for your response. When I plug in ANY usb device in the front ports it only goes in half way and nothing is recognized. I clicked the link you sent about the front ports not working and they have never worked since the day I bought this computer. I have never looked to see if the were even plugged in to the motherboard so I will check that soon. It would seem that the factory wouldn't allow that to pass inspection and leave the door if it were the problem.
I bought a 4 port 3.0 usb hub and plugged it into a 2.0 usb port in the back of the unit and that seems to have sufficed for now. Speed is not a problem so I suppose I will stick with the 2.0 port that works. Thanks for your help.
