Pavillion p6205
Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

When I run diagnostics on my Pavillion p6205 desk top it says that it can not connect to server and therefore unable to uplload any updates. Everything else works fine. It used to do this fine but has only stoped recently????

How "antique" is your Windows XP system?  When did you purchase it?

 

Microsoft ended support for Windows XP in April 2014. 

 

I can speculate that HP recently has ended support for "HP Advisor".

Really?  Microsoft ended all support, including security-updates, for Windows XP in April 2014 -- over 3 years ago.

Is this program made by HP or by Microsoft or by some other company (Apple?) ?

Any more details that you can provide will be welcome.

 The diagnostics is simple part of the HP advisor it that came with the machine. It regularly performs  checks and tells me of any alerts. It was just this change of not being able to connect to server that iss new and only oever the last month!
