HP ProDesk 600 g2 Mini PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've got a brand new ProDesk 600 G2 Mini, right out of the box.  I connected my wired USB keyboard, a separate USB wireless mouse, a standard VGA monitor, and an ethernet cable, and tried to boot.  When I power the unit on, I get nothing on the display and the power button blinks red, accompanied by 3 long, lower pitched beeps, then switches to white, accompanied by 2 short high pitched beeps.

At first, after searching some forums, I thought it may be the VGA input.  Maybe the VGA isn't active since there's also a DisplayPort connector.  I switched to a different monitor with a DisplayPort connector, and still no joy.  I then thought it may be the keyboard and/or mouse, so I disconnected those, and started up again.  Same results.  I've popped open the case, and without disassembling the entire thing, I can't see anything that jumps out at me, indicating an issue.  I've scoured the forums for that beep code, but can find nothing related to this model and that same beep code.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

According to this HP thread, that beep sequence means a hardware memory problem:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

If they can't fix it, then you need to ensure that you will get a replacement at no charge.

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (800) 474-6836

Good Luck
