HP 24 AIO

Recently comp went to **bleep** cause I turned it off while it was updating, and got a 'boot device not found Install operating system's so a guy tells me about the USB hp recovery, doesn't work. Says Error: Incorrect Brand name [unknown] Expected brand name from FB [HPC] (whatever that means). Only thing I can think of is that the product I'd # on my comp is wrong ID:Z5N56AAR#ABA My luck? Doesn't work, hell it doesn't even pull up on the websites device find thing with it, however Z5N56AA#ABA does work pulls up the exact computer, so the hell is going on? Is my computer 32bit? (For reference: the hp recovery only works on 64bit) I dont know and I dont know how to check. And I honestly dont know what the **bleep** to do cause this is as far as any help I can find goes, any information or help would be most appreciated, have a good day and stay safe.

Hi:

The first product number that ends in R...Z5N56AAR = Refurbished.

Your PC's actual product number is the second one, Z5N56AA =  HP ALL-IN-ONE - 24-G237C

I have a couple of options you can try...

1. Make a bootable USB recovery drive that will be similar to the one you paid for.   Sometimes that works when the one from HP doesn't.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...Use the second product number you posted...Z5N56AA#ABA

2. If that doesn't work, then make a plain W10 USB installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
