I've been trying several times to install HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 8B3C) update into my desktop, but every time the installation has failed. During the installation process the computer restarted several times and the installation seemed to go through but in reality it disn't. What could be the problem?

We understand your concern regarding the BIOS update. To assist you better, could you please confirm which BIOS version you are currently trying to install?
We recommend downloading and installing the latest BIOS version – F.41 Rev.A, which is compatible with your system. You can get it directly from the HP website here:
