Did you make a recovery image with Macrium Reflect before you tried to clean install W10?

I hope so, because it appears that for whatever reason, W10 will not install on your PC.

I always delete all partitions and then install Windows.

Once the Windows.old folder was created, you can no longer boot from W7.

There should be a Windows 7 product key on your PC's case.

My 2 HP 8200 Elite's have them.

If not, your only other option would be to order a set of W7 recovery disks from this vendor because HP no longer sells them.

You would need to order the kit for your PC's product number.

Yes i have a win7pro product key on the case  but i believe i use another win7pro key from my laptop years ago

Can i still use win7pro prod key on the case ?

As of now i think my best option is to install as new win10 from iso and if possible use win7pro key frm case

Do you have instructions to install win10 from rufus iso   because i think the boot order and the bios setting is incorrect.

If you have not used that product key on another PC, it should work fine.

I had given you the link for how to use Rufus to install W10.

There is no need to change the boot order in the BIOS.

You press the ESC key and then the F9 key to get the boot options menu and select the device you want to boot from and press the Enter key.

I have the hard drives in both of my 8200's set to boot first.

Nope still get kmode error

Yes, I had that issue on one of my 8200 Elite PC's, where the USB flash drive does not show up as a bootable device, yet it did on the other one.

I recommend you set the BIOS to its defaults, save and exit.

See if that gets the USB flash drive to show up as a bootable device under the EFI boot sources list.

If not, do you have another Windows PC/laptop with a DVD burner and a blank DVD you can burn to?

If so, I can give you the link to an older version of W10 Pro (v2004) that fits on a standard DVD, and use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you can use to transfer the ISO file to a DVD so that it is bootable.

Then you can just update it to the latest version.

The newer versions of W10 don't fit on a standard DVD, so you would need a dual layer burner and dual layer DVD to burn the new version's ISO file to a DVD.

Then you can try to install W10 from a DVD and your DVD drive should be listed under the legacy boot device F9 menu.

i will try bios default and then report back

NO GO - reset bios to default and still kmode error

At this point i will probably just start from ground zero - reformat the SSD and install win 10 as new

Please anyone help what are software i can boot from to reformat the SSD and set Bios to boot from USBthumb drive with ISO to install win 10

Thanks in advance
