Pavilion 570-p017c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am wanting to install a second hard drive in my Pavilion 570-p017c Desktop. I am looking at a 2TB SSD drive. Does anyone know if this size/type of drive is compatible with my system? Will the BIOS recognize it?

Thank you in advance

The specs of your machine is

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05384163

It has 1TB SATA HDD now. It also has

  • Expansion Slots:
    • One PCI-E x16 socket
    • One M.2 socket 1, key A
    • One M.2 socket 3, key M

You can install M.2 NVMe SSD (1TB or 2TB) such as Samsung 970 EVO to M.2 slot and make it as boot drive. BIOS will see it.

Regards.
