Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Windows 10 Upgrade will not run on this PC, because "The display is not compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer for support".  Video card is NVIDIA GeForce GT630 that came with system ordered from HP.

Monitor is LG 27EA63.

What do I need to do to upgrade to Windows 10?

Hi:

I think that must be an erroneous report.

There are W10 drivers for the GT 630.

Make the W10 DVD, and run it from the windows desktop.  Use the media creation tool below.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

When you go to install W10, skip the check for updates.  Just let it run.

That way it bypasses the hardware check.

You may have an issue with the IDT audio not working on W10 though.

If you run into that issue, see if this IDT audio driver works after you install W10.

This package provides the IDT Tempo High Definition Audio Driver for supported desktop models that are running a supported operating system.

Thanks, the solution worked perfectly and I now have Windows 10 running on my HP. Kudos to you!

I don't know about the IDT Tempo High Definition Audio Driver issue  you mentioned, but I'll come back here if it affects me.

Thanks again.

You're very welcome, Bill.

If you have audio after the upgrade to W10, then you are good to go.
