Hi,
We have 38 HP Computers which are to be upgraded from windows 7 to 10. Those computers are -
EliteDesk 800 G2 DM 35W
EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF
ProDesk 400 G2 MINI
ProDesk 600 G2
ProDesk 600 G2 DM
i know that all these computers support windows 10.
What i want to know is, Are all these computers already licensed to directly upgrade (in place upgrade) to windows10 ?
or
Do i need to buy windows10 licenses from Microsoft to upgrade?
Please let me know.
Regards,
Avi

You're very welcome.
Yes, that is the product key for W10 Pro and for sure you can clean install W10 but try the in-place upgrade first so you don't have to reinstall your programs and files.
I have never done an upgrade to W10 Pro from W7 when there is a W10 Pro OEM key in the BIOS.
It should work.
I have only done the free upgrade from W7 or W8.1 to W10, and that worked fine doing an in-place upgrade.

Hi:
If they all came with W7 Pro from HP, that means they had downgrade rights from W10 Pro.
The W10 Pro product key is in the BIOS.
You will not need to purchase W10 licenses.
I do not know if you can do an inplace upgrade from W7 to W10.
You have nothing to lose by trying it.
I do know a clean install of W10 pro will work.
I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you the W10 product key in the PC's BIOS.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply.
I ran the Showkeyplus you sent me.
It is showing,
OEM Edition: Win 10 RTM Professional OEM:DM
OEM Key: *****-*****-*****-*****-*****
Is OEM Key the Win10 Pro product key in the BIOS?
