Pavilion Slimline
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have upgraded to MS10 and now my display adapter (JUA190) does not work.  I was told that HP does not support the new driver to make my adapter work.  I purchased this computer prior to 2013.  Can this HP be upgraded to accept the new adapter?  Right now my manager shows Basic display adapters.  How do I add or change this if I can.

Thanks for providing the info.

I wish I had good news for you -- but I don't.

HP does not provide any drivers newer than Win7 for your PC, so there is no driver update from HP to address the problem.

This is the link to the drivers page for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5500-Desktop-PC-series/4162194...

To see the drivers for Win7, click Change and select Win7 from the pulldown.

You MIGHT be able to install the Win7 video drivers using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/

Good Luck

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

What you were told is probably correct -- but we need the detailed product number for your PC to verify the drivers: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

We can proceed once you provide the information.

Thanks
