WIndows install error message (WIndows could not complete installation / re start the installation)

Hello, Have a Pavillion X2 detachable 10-k10nr that has been stored since 2016...trying to use it now I get the HP blue circle logo on black screen then a windows error message saying (WIndows could not complete installation / re start the installation). I have hard restarted the device several times and a couple of times it allowed me to enter language / time zone / location / license agreement / name / email / screen color option then after choosing wifi error shows again.

How can I solve this and start this device? thanks

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

Reregister Windows Installer

  1. Exit all open programs.

  2. Click Start, Run, type msiexec /unregister in the Open box, and click OK.

  3. Click Start, Run, type msiexec /regserver in the Open box, and click OK.

  4. Restart the computer and try to install the software application again.
