Hi Prométhée,
Unfortunately your post as a solution isn't any solution since I found an official HP record that supports my purchase date and as their records indicate, my start up date was and is 4/30/2020. The guy and his supervisor stated to me that I still have to submit the receipt to get a refund on the extended warranty I purchased. I did contact Walmart and talked to the service desk but as of this date, they haven't contacted me with any info on my receipt. So I reject your solution and maybe you can help with this new info. Thanks for trying.

Prométhée,
Your solution was acceptable until I found HP actually had the date of 4/30/2020 as the actual date I had started up my New HP PC . I called and talked to a tech and his supervisor, (his supervisor came on the line after the tech verified that my start up date was as I had said and not what they were saying. I appears many customers besides my self, are being swayed into believing the registration was being done by the HP Support Assistant during the first startup of my PC. (That also included that app assisting in setting up my HP account.) So unfortunately I reject the solution you suggested. By the way I did contact the Saukville Walmart and West Bend Walmart and asked them to reference back around that period I felt was when I purchased it and even gave them a my PC Serial #. They haven't responded back as of this date. Maybe you or some of the HP staff could contact them for me and they will be more forthcoming with the requested information. It would be the Saukville Wi. or the West Bend Wi. Walmart to be contacted and for around late April of 2020 as the date of purchase. Thanks for trying.

I don't understand what you are referring to I did say that you must try to opt for the receipt! Now if they are not able to provide it to you, there is nothing I can do for you, but I have given the only possible solution that I know of, since HP requests this receipt. (first respond )

The problem is the HP Support Assistant leads customers to believe they ARE registering the product, when in fact, they are setting up the account with HP. Need a solution and a refund on the extended warranty yet. Thanks for trying though.

I believe the HP Support assistant is causing the problem. HP has the original date I started using the PC but I believed the support assistant was registering my PC when it actually was only setting up my HP account. Thanks for trying though.

You must understand that I am only a simple user,, I am in France!
And even if this was not the case, we cannot contact a reseller, to obtain information for you!
I understand that you want to be reimbursed, then you have to contact the service directly

More to this story, is that I had marked your answer as the solution and then retracted it and was notifying you why it was not the solution once HP was notified they were ignoring the date they had on file for my PC being activated. They aren't being very helpful, to say the least. Again Thank you.

I believe that if you bought the computer in June last year It is now March so your computer would be 10 months old and should still be covered. I would dispute your warranty claim and find your papers as soon as possible.
