What is this file, and can I safely delete it from my system? It's taking up approximately 6+ Gigs of harddrive space and when I was running my storage cleanup it listed this in larger files in my system that it "couldn't identify" but that may be important. What? Yeah, that's what it said. I can't figure out how it can't identify the files because I THINK they're setup files of some sort.

You can delete the contents - leave the swsetup folder in place.
Before you remove the data, use your browser to search for what others have said about swsetup. For example, search for "windows what is swsetup"
For example, you could decide to back up (make a copy) of the contents onto a USB stick or maybe copy the data into a secondary disk folder. That way, "The data is there if you suddenly feel like you need it."
Essentially, these files (and possibly folders inside the swsetup main folder) that contain previously installed software and drivers. In most cases, all the current HP software and drivers are available from your computer website support Software and Driver category. Note the words, "In most cases". This is why some people decide to copy the data somewhere - "just in case".

If you delete this folder and its content, HP Recovery app will be unable to install the drivers & software that originally came with your PC (factory-state).
I would advise against deleting it and strongly recommend leaving it intact - or temporarily copy its content elsewhere so you can restore it back when/if needed.
