HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt CTO. I have the one with a i5-11400. It has a 500w PSU. Whats the highest processor I can upgrade to? Will a i9 11th gen 125 w CPU work? or do I need to only use 65w CPU?

@rewrrwerwerwe,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2260xt CTO (1K4J3AV) is fitted with the Stark motherboard (SSID: 8860), with p/n: M16092-601 "ASSY,MBD, Stark, Intel RKL-S H570,WIN".

The fastest/best processor you can upgrade it to is an i7-11700 (i7-11700F -without integrated graphics).  This is also verified looking at HP System Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx Users here: UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-2xxx Compatible Components.

The best graphics card your desktop's power supply can handle is an HP-branded RTX 3060 Ti with p/n: M98838-001 "GFX NVIDIA GeF RTX3060Ti 8GB GDDR6". You can purchase this GPU via eBay at the moment around $250 -which I would consider a very good pricing: HP RTX 3060 Ti for sale | eBay.

Hope this was helpful.
