I ordered a tp01-2012A and was sent a

tp01-2000i.

And I don’t know if it’s the same, better or less than what I paid for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated by this poor novice

@Stanley77 -- the HP Support web-site has two listings:

1. HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000i (1K4B6AV) | HP® Customer Support

2. HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-2012a PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

You will have to "drill-down" on each page, to make a side-by-side listing of the components of each computer.

The reference tp01-2000i corresponds more to a series, not a specific model
tp01-2012A should be the exact name of your computer

We shouldn't send you another model, without warning
this is usually an error, in hp tools, support pages etc.
Normally, you should have somewhere the reference of your computer, which is:
Product Number
52J13PA

to answer this question then:
"And I don't know if it's the same, better or less"
you will not be able to compare this model with another
HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000i (1K4B6AV)
since it is not one
