Pavillion 20-e011a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Did the health check on my 4 year old hp All-in-One Pavillion for win 11 and all good other than AMD E1-6010APU with AMD Raedeon Graphics graphics card. Not supported for Win 11.

Any suggestions please or do I forget about Win 11 and stick with Win 10?

Many thanks,

Al

Hi, Al:

This does not necessarily mean you can't install W11 on your PC, but you would have to perform a clean install and reinstall all of your programs and files.

If you want to see if W11 works on your PC, you can make a bootable W11 USB installer from the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows11

See this article.  3rd headline from the bottom.

If for some reason, W11 does not work correctly on your PC, you can reinstall W10.

I currently have W11 clean installed on two PC's that I have, that do not meet the requirements for the W11 upgrade and they both work fine on W11 so far.

I used the free Macrium Reflect software to make system images of the W10 installation before I installed W11.

You may want to do the same.

Make a system image using Macrium reflect, and if W11 doesn't work right, you can easily go back to your current W10 installation.

You save the image on a portable hard drive and the software will have you make a bootable USB flash drive or DVD you boot from to access the system image stored on the portable hard drive.

Macrium Software | Reflect Free Edition

You want the file listed on the left side of the webpage under the Backup at Home section.

Thanks Paul, but at 84 years young even reading your expert course of action I started to lose the will to live! 😂😂😂.

Think I’ll stick with Win 10!  I’m sure it will suffice for what years I have left on this mortal coil!

Take care, 👍🤓

@almostly -- Think I’ll stick with Win 10!

Microsoft will support Windows 10 until October 2025. Beyond that, you can still use Windows 10, but Microsoft will stop issuing security-updates. So, in November 2025, there will a slightly-increased "risk" of using your computer with an Internet connection. In December 2025, the "risk" will again increase.

I hope that your disk-drive, and its other components, have enough "residual" life to last into 2026.

By 2026, we all may have implants to connect us to the "SkyNet" grid-computer, and won't need to buy our own computer.  :-)))

Ha ha 🤓, if I’m still around in 2026 I probably won’t be too concerned! Will be almost 90 then..........🙄 hopefully 😇😇😇 thanks for your input......still locked down here in Auckland New Zealand, stay safe....👍
