Hi:

Did you create the installation DVD yourself?

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/952951/error-a-required-cd-dvd-device-driver-is-missing-whe...

If so, you did not get a bood burn on the disk.

Use this free software to burn the ISO file to a DVD.

https://www.cdburnerxp.se/en/download

Select the Burn ISO file option and burn the DVD at the slowest possible speed you can.

If you need to re-download a W7 ISO file you may be able to get it from here...

Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe link to download the tool to create the W7 ISO file download.

Select the W7 COEM ISO file download version for the product key the OS is good for, which is the OEM operating system ISO file.

@OfficerAdrian

I know this might be a minor point -- but the Win7 installer is way too large to fit on a CD and requires a DVD, instead.

So, if what you have it actually a CD, not a DVD, then more likely it is a Windows Recovery Disk, and those can only be used to make minor repairs to the Windows boot loader; they can not be used to install Windows as they don't contain the needed files.

I guess I don't understand what it is that you are trying to do.

All you need to do is to download the W7 Ultimate ISO file from the Heidoc site I posted and burn it to a DVD, or use this tool that I have zipped up and attached below to transfer the file to a DVD or USB flash drive.

You need to start from the beginning...an new ISO file, a new installer.

You're very welcome.

Or, you can just get another HDD, they are cheap and easy enough to replace.
