Hello everyone,

My PC hard disk damaged and I purchased a new same size hard disk and tried to reset to the factory setting.

I  used the Windows 7 recovery disc to boot the PC but the problem is the PC keeps reboot to load the windows from the recovery disc  just after loaded windows  and start the windows Sign.

Anyone knows what to do with it ?

Thanks!

Jeff

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Not exactly following what is happening. The HP recovery disc set is usually three or four discs.

You can get HP Recovery media at Computer Surgeons (Link) if you don't have this.

You could also install Windows 7 (W7) clean by downloading the W7 ISO at this site (Link) if you don't want to spend money.

Convert the W7 ISO to bootable media to install the operating system using this Microsoft tool (Link). Input the W7 product key found on your PC's chassis to install/activate W7.

Finally, install HP system drivers found at this (Link).
