Hey there,
so I got a new computer and went to factory reset my old one so that my mother could use it, which is the HP All-in-One 27-dp0167c. After waiting for an hour, the reset didn't seem to work... It got stuck on 6% and then stopped itself, undoing the changes. When it restarted, there is a message on the profile sign-in screen that says "Your PIN is not available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again." So, I click on "Set up my PIN" and after it says "Just a Moment..." it immediately takes me to a blue screen that reads "The User profile Service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded." with an "OK" button. Upon clicking the OK button I'm taken back to the sign in screen and prompted to click and enter a new pin again, then the issue repeats itself.
I have tried restarting the PC while holding shift to enter safe mode and use the troubleshoot options, however, aside from resetting my pc again (which I tried and it yet again failed), the options require me to put in my microsoft password to my outlook account in order to access, such as restoring to a previous version of windows and using the command prompt. Unfortunately It won't accept the password and states it as incorrect, though I have triple-checked, it is not incorrect. I can log into my microsoft account on my new computer just fine.
Is there any way to get around this? I seem to be locked out of signing in to my own profile. Everything was working as normal until I attempted the factory reset so I'm guessing that is where the problem started. Please let me know if there are more things I can try to recover it or a solution out there to fix these problems.
