HP USB
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting this message twice so many times a month, every month for at least a year in Windows Update.

".Hewlett-Packard - USB - 4/8/2019 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.237"

"Status: pending install"

Why? and how to fix it?

I updated and installed but it keeps coming back.

I can see that the installation went ok

but I keep seeing them on the Windows update screen and asking to install them again.

How to stop, disable, or uninstall them?

Hi:

Run the Hide Windows Update utility to prevent that update from reappearing.

Hide Windows Updates or driver updates (microsoft.com)

The link is broken on the Microsoft website, but since I use this utility from time to time I saved it.

I have zipped the file up and attached it below.

Unzip the file, run the program.

When the program completes running it should show the recurring update.

Check the box to hide the update and follow the prompts on the program window.

I need to know why I'm getting the message and how to stop it.

Hiding it is not going to solve it.

Nobody on this forum will be able to answer that question, and running that utility will hide the update so you never see that message again, and you won't have to stop it.

Hiding it is going to solve it.
