HP All-in-One Desktop PC 27-cr0000a (76M59AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My new HP won't wake up from overnight "sleep".  I can press the power button for a bit and it will restart but I don't want to do that everyday.  Internet connection is Wi-Fi, if that is important.  I have a wireless mouse/keyboard combo that came with the PC and there is no power management options.   It has the AMD Radeon Graphics.  i have checked the graphics drivers and everything is up to date.   Any assistance would be helpful.   I really don't want to turn off the sleep options.

Greetings @CarolynS4

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I'm going to ramble but a wake from sleep problem is a difficult nut to crack.

Does the PC wake from sleep during the day if you temporarily test the wake from sleep option?

You could always contact HP Support since you have a new PC. Sleep should work out of the box.

You have a brand new PC. I guessing you are only connecting the HP included USB mouse and keyboard combo.

I 'm also thinking you did not modify any settings in Control Panel>Power Options.

And you did not change any settings in Control Panel>Device Manager.

Using WIFI could be an issue. I would not know since all of my PCs use Ethernet.

All Windows updates have been installed. Have you checked HP Support Assistant for HP updates?

You did not install a new component and the associated component software.

The Windows sleep and wake from sleep functions on a brand new PC should work as expected using the HP operating system factory image.

You're having a non-critical nuisance problem that is tough to diagnose.

I had a couple of Gigabyte MBs having this problem. The low level Gigabyte RGB software was causing the issue.

It took months to figure out what was causing the symptom. I uninstalled the Gigabyte RGB software. Gigabyte finally released an updated software version which fixed the wake from sleep problem.

I can't give you a solution. It's very difficult to isolate the cause of a wake from sleep problem.

You could try disabling Hibernation. Hibernation could cause this symptom.

I would turn off sleep if you can't figure out what is going on. That's what I did on the Gigabyte MBs until Gigabyte released new RGB software.

You could try a W11 in-place upgrade but I don't know if this will help. Let me know if you want try a W11 in-place upgrade.

You may have some kind of low level driver problem or a device problem.

A faulty power supply can cause wake from sleep problems.
