Hi,

You're welcome. 🙂

As @Dvortex is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. I have read your posts comprehensively.

I read that the hardware tests have passed and the recovery fails when initiated through the recovery partition. Looks like the recovery partition is corrupted. But before we conclude ensure that you disconnect external peripherals like the printer, USB flash drivers, etc.and keep only the mouse, keyboard and the monitor connected during the recovery.

I also suggest you to disable the secure boot option in your PC and then try to run the recovery. Please refer to the steps mentioned under "Using Secure Boot on a desktop computer" >> "Disabling Secure Boot on a desktop computer".

If the recovery still fails then I suggest you to contact our HP phone support to obtain an original copy of the recovery media.

I hope this information helps. Take care! 🙂

I understand you are stuck on a loop with the "Automatic repair screen",

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Which Operating System are you using?

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Have you attempted a system restore?

Did you run a hardware test on the computer using the F2 key during a restart?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned on this link: Click here

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

Hi the product number is: -T1H50EA#ABU

OS is windows 10, I have tried all the suggestions on the websites troubleshooting guide including system restore, all the hardware tests came back fine.

The last time it worked was in April and have been trying to repair it since.

Hello, @jojoblue

I see that you were interacting with @Riddle_Decipher. I'd like to jump in with a suggestion 🙂

I would suggest you perform a system recovery to try and fix the issue.

System recovery is the last step to troubleshoot this issue. This option reformats the system drive (usually C:), reinstalls the original operating system and reinstalls all the original hardware drivers and software. All you save files will be lost and your computer will be formatted to the day you purchased the machine.

Go to http://hp.care/2d8t85o and follow the steps under "Recovery when Windows 10 does not start correctly" to perform the recovery.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Good luck 🙂
